A southern side of Park Terrace, between Seventh Avenue and the intersection of Port Road/Park Terrace/Adam Street, North Adelaide, was widened to assist in improving the function, safety and capacity of the Port Road/Park Terrace/Adam Street intersection and supporting the strategic transport accessibility objectives of the Inner Ring Route.

This project involved:

• Installing a third signalised left turning lane between the Port Road intersection and the Park Terrace level crossing.
• Implementing a second dedicated left turn lane east of the Park Terrace level crossing.
• Installating a two stage pedestrian crossing across Park Terrace near the level crossing to cross both the east bound and west bound carriageways.

Construction works at this location was completed late December 2010.
